Get the most out of every burn with these simple tips.
Every Melted Moments candle is hand-poured with care — and with a little attention, yours will burn beautifully from the first light to the last. Follow these guidelines to maximize scent throw, burn time, and safety.
Candle Care Tips
Trim Your Wick
Before every burn, trim your wick to 1/4 inch. A trimmed wick produces a cleaner, brighter flame with less soot and mushrooming. Use a wick trimmer or small scissors.
The First Burn Matters Most
On your very first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This creates a full melt pool and prevents tunneling — where wax builds up on the sides and the wick sinks into a hole.
Burn Time Limits
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extended burns cause the wick to mushroom, the jar to overheat, and can reduce the quality of the fragrance. Let the candle cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.
Never Leave Unattended
Always burn candles within sight. Keep away from drafts, vents, and fans that can cause uneven burning, flare-ups, or rapid wax consumption.
Keep Away from Children & Pets
Place candles out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire, and always use a heat-resistant surface.
Know When to Stop
Discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains. Burning past this point can cause the jar to overheat and crack. The jar can be cleaned and repurposed once cooled.

Wax melts are a flameless way to enjoy your favorite Melted Moments scents.
Use the Right Warmer
Use an electric or tea-light wax warmer designed for wax melts. Never melt wax melts in a pot or microwave.
How Much to Use
Start with one or two cubes depending on the size of your room. You can always add more for a stronger scent.
When to Replace
When the scent fades, the wax can be discarded and replaced. The wax itself does not evaporate — only the fragrance dissipates over time.
Cleaning Your Warmer
Let the wax solidify, then pop it out or use a cotton ball to absorb the liquid wax while warm. Wipe clean with a paper towel before adding a new melt.
Storage Tips
Store candles and wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Heat and UV light can cause discoloration and affect fragrance quality. Keep lids on candles when not in use to preserve scent.
